Hi Mystics,
What a ride it’s been this eclipse season, I feel I’m on the precipice of something big this turn of the wheel, can you too feel this energy?
The days are shorter with the sun setting earlier each night. Morning frosts have returned, blanketing the fields with its sparkling ice crystals and the goldening of the leaves are in creation.
I say creation, as the little girl within clings to the fairy tales of Fae traveling across the landscapes, casting their magic to aid the seasonal change.
With Samhain on our door step the connection with our ancestors strengthens. Sometimes this feels like subtle reminders of past conversations where wisdom has been given, visitations from family members in your dreams or meditation, a sudden smell of their perfume, tobacco or signs from nature (animal visitations, feathers, finding trinkets ect.) that they’re around.
After practicing the craft for a long time I feel a sense of urgency to get things organised this time of year. Warding and protection magic is usually at the top of my list before the veil thins. Us witches tend to be beacons of light in the shadows so, get your space and properties warded witches.
In my case, it’s about strengthening my existing wards and adding some fresh protection magic into the mix.
Why….
Cause all the spirits are going to come knocking and some aren’t so friendly so save yourself the Headache & BS!!! it’s always a good idea to be prepared.
Some ways in which to ward are;-
-Witches balls
-Witches Bells
-Besoms
-Sigils and Runes
-Protection Spell Jars
-Smudging and Clearing
-Simmer pots
-Crystals

You don’t want to be purchasing other people’s intentions & Magic but, rather crafting your own because it’s your magic that holds the most power for your home and hearth. If you’re unsure about how to navigate forward, I highly recommend checking out the Lunar hearth cauldron on Facebook or visiting https://www.thelunarhearthcauldron.com

SAMHAIN MAY 1st
Samhain is an ancient Celtic celebration and is the origin of what most people know as Halloween today. During Samhain the veil between the physical and spiritual realm is lifted.
Samhain marks the halfway mark between the Autumn and Winter equinox. It is the Witches new year celebration of renewal, setting intentions, divination, shadow work and ancestral magic. It’s the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next.
Why is Samhain significant?
Samhain reflects the change from light to dark as we enter winter. Spiritually it is a time we can connect to loved ones that have passed beyond the veil and honour our ancestors.
For more information regarding the history of Samhain I’ve added a link below.
This full moon will bring a sense of balance after the chaos of eclipses and retrogrades. I have been grinding like crazy and trying to adjust to the time constraints of University study.
I’m currently learning the science behind the brain and behaviour. I’m feeling a little overwhelmed with writing scientific essays and analysing research. It is hard for me to retain information from extremely boring literature. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s not all boring though, I have learnt a lot and some of it is strange to say the least however, im not really interested in Neuromarketing/sensory marketing as a subject of discussion. I never really gave much thought on how much of a role psychology plays in so many aspects of society. I get the impression that psychology is in the background of most things and is quite literally the brains to any, if not all, operations.
One of my inner shadows I’ve been combating is imposter syndrome. My ego likes to question just about everything I do. However, my inner knowing and willingness is greater than whatever this imposter has to say. You gotta be in it to win it after all, so fuck you Mr imposter, I got a high distinction last week so I’m not so bad at this after all 😉
I find it very interesting how the shadow rears its ugly head at certain times of the year and for me, the colder months are my allocated time to work through it. Why?! Because I have my ancestors by my side, kitchen magic to warm my soul and I have my netball community that allows me to stay present and sociable whilst allowing me to impact the lives of our youth in a positive way.
How do you make the colder months meaningful? How do you stay consistent in your magic? Do you plan out your seasons or do you go with the flow?
what shadows are you combating right now?
Don’t forget to Stay magical you beautiful souls!
